Embrace the Lake
Escape the heat of the city and cool off in Sparrow Lake! Dive off our private dock into the refreshing waters of the lake or enjoy a cool breeze from the rooftop terrace. You can also borrow one of our canoes or kayak! However you wish to enjoy Sparrow Lake, our Guest House will make a splash.
Relax
Escape the hustle and bustle to relax on the shores of Sparrow Lake! Catch up on your reading list while lounging on the patio or soak up the sun in the sprawling yard. In wintertime, enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of hot chocolate as you cozy up next to the fireplace, and take a dip in the hot tub when you want even more heat. However you decide to relax, your moment of zen awaits you at Lake Sparrow Guest House!
Play
In the mood to stay inside? Test your skills with any of the games in our games room! We have a ping-pong table, foosball table, poker table, and pool table - enough to entertain the whole party! You can also sit back and play video games on one of our game consoles. For the young ones, we have an outdoor playset that’s a joy to climb.

Just a short walk from our guest house, there is so much to explore! Whether you’re looking to discover the wilderness or take a relaxing ride along the Trent-Severn Waterway, bring your boots or bike and explore the Muskoka region.
Fishing
Bring your rod or rent one of ours, and enjoy a cold beer while you fish at Sparrow Lake, no matter the time of year! In spring and summer, you can relax with your rod on our dock, or paddle out to deeper waters and cast off from a canoe. Reel in your catch and grill it on one of the Guest House barbecues! Whether you’re a seasoned angler looking to catch the big one or a rookie looking to get his feet wet, you’ll be hooked on Lake Sparrow Guest House!
Ice Fishing, Too!
If you've been curious about ice fishing, Lake Sparrow makes a weekend of the sport accessible! Bring your own rod or rent one of ours, and enjoy a cold beer (or hot coffee from a thermos) while you take in the winter serenity while fishing through the frozen surface of Sparrow Lake. On a good day, you can expect to catch yourself some trout or maybe a walleye.
Winter Adventures
When the weather gets cold, the Muskoka region becomes a winter wonderland! Sparrow Lake freezes over and becomes the perfect stage for ice skating. Fresh snow carpets the nearby trails, perfect for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing (and yes, we’ve got snowshoes for you to borrow!). After a day of outdoor adventure, come inside and warm up by the fire in the living room, or venture outside for a nighttime bonfire.
Go Skiing
Make the most out of the snowy season! Lake Sparrow Guest House can be the perfect home base for your adventure on the slopes or trails. For cross-country skiing aficionados, we’ve got plenty of trails nearby. If you’re a fan of downhill skiing or snowboarding, we’re just a 35-minute drive from the Mount St. Louis Moonstone ski resort. Come back to Lake Sparrow to relax in the hot tub after your hard day of skiing!
Food & Dining
Lake Sparrow has a full commercial kitchen available for our guests, so you can prepare your own meals if you wish. If you’d rather enjoy your meal outdoors, we have two BBQ grills ready for action. If you'd like to eat out, the Bayview Wildwood Resort's restaurant is a short walk from our guest house. Bluemoon is a short drive away, and is another one of our favorites! If you’re planning an event, feel free to ask us about coordinating catering.
